WiNSpace – Now is the Time
WiNSpace Project Status
- We have again been successful in a Grant Application. This time we have received £50,000 from the Enovert Community Trust. This means our running total is now £1,830,000, only £170,000 to go!
- Having received the results of an asbestos survey and will start the removal of the asbestos on the 9th Dec 2024.
- The discharging our pre-construction condition reports have been approved by North Somerset, which allows for the construction to begin. The final site clearance and build will be starting on the 2nd Jan 2025.
We have come such a long way and are now working hard to sign building contracts in July, for construction to start in the Autumn. We have clear sight on £1.83M funding.
We now need the final £170,000 to ensure a fully functioning centre is delivered. Is this something you can help us towards?
Any amount you, your business or employer can donate, will help complete the brand-new community building to replace the ‘temporary’ classrooms.
Meeting our £2,000,000 target will allow us to create not just a building but a special place, which will serve generations to come and honour those who had the vision to start the community centre 45 year ago.

This is a major local asset which continues to serve the community well, but there is always a need to look to the future so we are looking at options to move forward with the possible redevelopment of the community buildings. This project as been called WiNSPACE.
